Columbia County Youth Theatre Performance of: “Three Billy Goats Gruff”
The Columbia County Youth Theatre (CCYT) will present a free performance of The Three Billy Goats Gruff at the Crandell Movie Theater Stage. The performance will take place on Saturday, July 9th from 12:30-1:00 PM as part of the 2016 Chatham Summerfest. This will be the first time that there has been a live performance on the Crandell Theatre stage since the early 1950’s.
The Three Billy Goats Gruff is a reworking of the classic children’s tale. Directed by Edgar Acevedo with musical arrangements by Paul Wyatt, the show leads us through the adventures of mischevious goats as they encounter a really big troll, three clowns, and two very focused narrators! The cast includes Emily Allen, Olivia Allen, Matthew Antalek, Erin Curry, Heather Damia, Shelby Kline, Kate Metcalf, Adam Salerno, and Lauren Wrigley.
This premiere performance at the Crandell is a collaborative effort between CCYT, the Chatham Film Club and the Mac-Haydn Theatre. It is made possible in part with a grant from the Fund for Columbia County, a fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
