The Chatham Film Club Announces FilmColumbia 2013 Program Preview September 22

(Chatham, New York) September 17, 2013 – The Chatham Film Club announces an exclusive, members-only preview of the 2013 FilmColumbia Festival lineup, showing at the Crandell Theatre, 48 Main Street, Chatham, NY. On Sunday, September 22 at 2:30pm, Festival Executive Director and Co-Programmer Peter Biskind, Director Calliope Nicholas and Co-Programmer Laurence Kardish will host this insider preview of films slated for the 14th annual FilmColumbia Festival, October 23-27, sharing trailers of several films plus program highlights and insights–all before festival titles are announced to the public. More One-of-a-Kind Movie Fun–Following the festival program preview, at 4pm, the Chatham Film Club will introduce director Edgar Wright, presenting his new film The World’s End, starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.  Best known for his cult hits (particularly where he has collaborated with writer/actor Simon Pegg) Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Wright continues the collaboration with The World’s End, in which five friends reunite to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier and unwittingly become humankind’s only hope for survival. The director will also be on hand for a Q&A after the film. Tickets for The World’s End are $7 at the door, or $6 for Chatham Film Club members.
